well the 341 runs 24 hours a day...

99 quid per ticket was less than ideal though.

which is why I turned down the night  - oh dear - might live to regret it

Only 3000 in, and the reviews are so red hot I have a feeling it's going to be the 2020's version of the apocryphal Sex Pistols gig at Manchester's Lesser Free Trade Hall in June 1976.  If everyone who said they went  - actually did go the -  venue would have to have been the size of the O2

Looks incredible

SO the #SAULT surprise gig last night certainly delivered on the SURPRISE element.... For a start, this is what you went into... Drumsheds had been transformed into a complete immersive world........

I was there, absolutely mindblowing, there is no way they made their money back with ticket sales (2500 x £99 doesn't even begin to cover the scale of expenditure with a full orchestra/choir/dance troupe/immersive installation art). Being able to take the 341 bus directly back to Green Lanes instead of battling it out with Greater Anglia and/or Uber was the icing on the cake!

Yep, massive regret now, but hadn’t realised it was 2 tickets only- not surprised it sold out that quickly.  Been looking at clips online and looked amazing.  Nice one for being in the lucky 3000, a night for the ages.  I love the living room and fridge - what a way to set up the anticipation!!!

Not sure how deep you are into SAULT lore but I do expect them to do another show in London next year centred on the Nine LP based on some hints buried in their Instagram posts (https://www.reddit.com/r/sault/comments/18ed804/insight_into_future...) , along with a few other dates worldwide using other albums. How long it will take them to set up and perform each show (perhaps in a way which doesn't lose as much money) is an open question though!

Yes, I’d heard World tour incoming - but could be all part of the rumour mill.  Did you hear the one about this show being backed by Kanye?  If anyone could afford it would be him, and definitely gig some of those vibes from clips I’ve seen of his shows - and the covered up look.

Doesn't ring true to me, he's never been associated with Inflo & co. as far as I know (except Kid Sister's first hit 15 years ago in Chicago), and frankly I think the egalitarian, humble and collectivist independent vision of this production — not a hint of corporate sponsorship or collaboration — would be a bit alien to him 🙂. For example, they could have made an absolute killing on merch tables at the exits and were just like, nah.
