I used and would recommend Acorn Sash Windows. Local company, very detailed itemised quote from the owner Dominic and work completed to a high standard. Cleaned up beautifully after themselves too.

We used the sash window workshop - kept the original frames and got new sashes only, made from Accoya which is pressure treated pine and meant to have the longest durability

extremely pleased with the quality of end result - but it was not cheap, roughly £1300 per window

Another recommendation for Acorn Sash Windows. They have replaced all the windows in our house with double glazed wooden sashes and they were excellent. They've also replaced our French doors.

We used Janusz from ABC Sash Windows. Amazing job, local, professional and attention to detail was amazing. Very competitive.

Bumping this thread to source some additional input if possible. Looking to replace our sash windows, and so far quotes have been relatively high. We have been in touch with Acorn, who have broadly been on par in terms of pricing with many others from further afield. Does anyone have experience with local sash suppliers who we might be able to contact for a quote? Thanks in advance...

We had quotes from Acorn sash & ABC sash. Didn't go with either as we just replaced the panes instead - much cheaper.
