I seem to see the Salisbury cropping up all over the place in top X listings. This week it's been picked up by Flyadvisors.com and sits in 3rd place between the Old Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street and the Sherlock Holmes in Westminster.
Well done our local.

Good news, though the sub-babelfish prose was hard going!
YAY! Best pub in North London as far as i'm concerned!
Sites like this aren't even worth mentioning as they are auto (computer) generated rubbish; the poor english being the give away! They take their info from other sites that do the work to create the (human inspired) reviews in the first place. That'll be why it's cropping up all over the place.
Great publicity for the Salisbury - you couldn't buy it (the advertising, I mean). But then they don't have to.
Nice press for Salisburys but I have to question the 'cheapest pint' tag for some of the other pubs on that list (apart from Wetherspoons and Samuel Smiths obviously). Anyway i was in the Salisbury the other night trying to work out why it makes me feel uneasy. It ought to be everything I like about a pub. Then I realised: much too bright (for the night). Dim the lights a bit, please! Especially when our faces get all red and droopy when we're drunk. They could take a leaf out of The Finsbury's book which by the way was great when I was there the other night, its good to have another decent local.
