Just drove by, and saw to my astonisment that a Sainsburys local will be opening up on West Green Road, between Terront and Etherly Road. Sign says it will open on 8th August. Can't imagine the large veg shop a few doors down will be able to stay open.
But I'll have an alternative to Tesco Metro for last minute parmesan ...

I think you meant to write "Fair Deal" store on W. Green Road (not 'fair trade'). Along with someone else who mentioned, this is my favourite store in Seven Sisters area and i'm so sad to see them selling off all their stock as bulldozers edge closer. :( Organic / health food/ special diet food was definitely a brilliant niche to fill as no-one for miles around sells it!
Sometimes a simple thing like having your fruit and veg on the pavement, exposed to vehicle fumes and road dust can put off a likely customer (me) even if your prices and quality look better than the very expensive lesser quality ones in the local Tesco. It's the case with my locals on Philip Lane shop parade around Lawrence rd.
