Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

No ambiguity here then, although parhaps a little optimistic.

Will this affect their bottom line ?

Well observed, sir.

Hahaha!

At this price, you'll probably need about ten sheets per, er, number two, given how thin and flimsy the sheets are likely to be. And do we really believe that the number of sheets is as enumerated on the packaging? Has anyone ever bothered to count? I'll bet that the supermarkets are stealing from us by reducing the number of sheets. Even a reduction of 5% (in this case, 20 sheets) would represent a much larger profit for the supermarkets.

Christopher, as The Office's David Brent said, don't assume. If you assume, you make an ass out of U and me. You've assumed that "shts" is to abbreviate "sheets". I query this, as there was room on the notice to spell out "sheets" in full.

Yes Clive

That was the point of the joke Mr Fowler: sorry it escaped you

Actually, I did get the joke, as you can tell if you actually read my original post. I'd also point out to you that if there is room for the word "sheets" then there is certainly room for the word "sh*ts". Also, quoting a line from the almost talentless, massively over-rated, one-hit wonder Ricky Gervais doesn't really add anything humorous to the discussion. I was taking the opportunity of the posting to take another jab at the lying and unscrupulous tactics of supermarkets.
