Ruin & Danger In Finsbury Park

Today we see the start of an industrial scape operation that from start to finish will consume a huge amount of Finsbury Park to facilitate the Wireless Festival. Hackney and Harringay Residents will endure noise and disruption for 4 days of the following weekends. The park will be dangerous for children and pets as lorry's and cars as they did today will speed up and down the internal roads. The park itself as has happened on all previous occasions will be damaged, and I note that only because of the festival have Harringay council repaired damage to the paths from last years festivals. The summer for residents and park users is ruined as priority is given to making money from a festival that offers nothing for people living in Hackney or Harringay. The Mayor of Hackney, Mayor of Harringay and the MP Diane Abbott for Hackney North all seem ok with this, that must be because none of these people live anywhere near the park. You will get a chance to vote with your feet at the elections next year, these are Labor councils who are supposed to look after the local community.
