Just been to Ken Wood. There appears to be a plethora of road closures in Highgate/Muswell Hill which would frustrate an invading army! Anyone know the reason? Or is it seasonal spend the road budget time?

I think it’s a mixture of “Oh my God we’re not going to spend all the money we budgeted for 2020/21”, the roads being a bit quieter during lockdown and burst water mains all over the place when it was really cold last week (anyone else see the Great Lake of Ducketts Green?). I go through the City of London about once a week and there’s whole lotta digging going on there.
Tell me about it. The last time I went there, residents of Bishops Avenue were adding to the problem by putting up barriers outside their drives to prevent us parking ...
A possible explanantion is it is coming to the end the Council's financial year, so they spend on things like crossings and bike rails at the last moment.
It is a Offence to put cones or obstructions outside your property and in the Road
Favorite one around Noel Park estate is waste Bins
Same as Rubbish etc. And if Enforcement advised they can fine them
Surprised they never made Bishops wood area a Controlled Parking Zone. Especially on good weather days and Events
