Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I have two all purpose bikes; one I mostly take off road and throw it around; the other mostly road. The road bike is a hybrid and not really very fast. Now its present for me time. Anyone like to recommend a slick road bike?

Have a holiday to America and buy it there.

Well I was looking at the Trump Global Warming Denier, with its carbon positive frame and Mexican walled tyres....

That is a really appealing sounding bike, since Mexico would pay for it. Even better, since it's the "Denier" model it's built with real science and geometry as opposed to "Global warming proponent" model that only exists in theory as a computer simulation and has square wheels (like all of the Canadian cars in Southpark).

Depends how much you want to spend, what type of riding you're planning on doing and, importantly, what fits you.

Specialized Allez and the Boardman road bikes are both good value but the best is to try a few out and see what is comfortable.

thanks Andrew they are def in the range and price im looking for...also looking at Canondale with flat bars. Think I will pop into Evans during the week...

Go and have a chat with Alex at MiCycle on Ferme Park Rd (next to the Nicholas Nickleby). He's really good for this kind of advice.

Give a titanium frame a whirl. Silky smooth - like riding a magic carpet, but which you still have to pedal. You won't want to sit on anything else.

I would also check out Planet X for decent bikes at very good prices.

Thanks guys, I am starting to realise that the bike market has got a tad more developed since I last looked. I am now trying to hunt down the 2016 bargains before the 2017 Xmas rush...and they are disappearing fast!
