Hello, I'm the new vicar at St Paul's Harringay, the unique and brilliant Marmite building on the corner of Wightman and Cavendish Road.
We're starting a new 11am service this Sunday thanks to some redistributing of resources by the Church of England. The existing parish communion service has moved back to 9.30am. We've got 30 local Christians joining us and would love to welcome more local people and show you round our crazy po-mo edifice. There's activities for children every week at 11am, and a BBQ lunch after each service. No need to book; just turn up.
Best wishes,

Hello new vicar Pete at St Paul's Harringay, I love Marmite and I reely love your brilliant building. i lived next door in Burgoyne road but I am a bit further away now from this great church and I do miss popping in for a nice simple service and a quick prayer. I am multi-denominational and always felt at ease inside. With all my good wishes to you.
P.S. Thanks also for teaching me a new word "po-mo" which i just googled. I understand it now and I wish I had seen the 2012 exhib at V&A Postmodernism: Style and Subversion 1970-1990.
Dear Geraldine,
Nice to hear from a fellow fan of the building and you're always welcome, even if you're a bit further away now.

Sorry Pete but can I blame you (or God?) for this great article by Stuart Jeffries www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2011/sep/20/postmodernism-10-key-m...
(and I am not usually a Guardian fan)
Will the new church services have incense? Unfortunately I've been put off in the past as it gives me a headache instantly and I feel unwell for the next few hours. Would love to come along for the occasional service if I could
Dear Alice,
Nice to hear from you and actually we've cut back on the incense. Certainly the new 11am service won't have any. We had been wondering if it actually made it harder for some people to come to church, so your comment is a timely one and helps inform our decisions about making church more accessible for people.
I'd love to meet you one Sunday - do pop in and see us.
Pete
Also, sorry again Pete, now that I have found you - shouldn't all this be in the Community News, Issues, Chat & Information forum instead of here?
Hi Geraldine. That seems to be where it is now! I can't remember what I posted it as, but maybe some moved it for me. Hurrah!
a minor miracle? This merits a wee thankful prayer I think from me. Also I did enjoy the Architecture Today article about our special St Paul's - many thanks for that link too.
