Thanks, Michael Anderson for posting these by-election results. 

Given that our national politics may be approaching some important tipping points, I'm disappointed at the low percentage turnout in both wards. Also puzzled why Haringey's PR team left out these percentage figures in the headline announcement on the Council's website.

To be fair, a few more clicks will take you to the relevant pages. But why not include it on the "front page"? Maybe the victories would look a bit thin? 

I see that Haringey Labour tweets that new councillor Liam Carroll is "fantastic". Anybody got a link which tells us about him? I still remember with admiration the experiment years ago by Hugh Flouch and Liz Ixer who made and posted on HoL short videos of interesting interviews with local candidates.

Today was, I think, the first time I'd ever glanced at the Haringey Labour Twitter account. I was pleased to see a plea to Shadow Minister, Liz Kendall MP, about child poverty in Haringey. Obviously that's going to convince her. I still admire her honest self-description as "the eat your greens candidate".
