ReStore partnership with Veolia aims to supply Haringey with quality 'recycled' furniture

Tottenham based charity ReStore have announced their new partnership with Veolia to divert up to 30 collections of good quality reusable or recyclable items of furniture a week to ReStore.  The furniture is collected from Haringey residents who request their free collection via the Veolia Haringey Contact Centre.

ReStore then sell on the items from their site in Tottenham back to the community, using a two-tier pricing structure that makes items very affordable for those from low-income families.

ReStore’s general manager, Nadeem Razvi, said: “Our partnership with Veolia will enable us to expand our role in the local community enabling us to support more residents through volunteering opportunities and a greater number of items available to buy.”

In order to buy goods from the furniture store at the lowest price, people need to be referred to them by one of the many agencies which they work in partnership with, or to show evidence of being on benefits, on low income, a student or OAP. Members of the public who do not have a letter of referral or proof of benefits are welcome to purchase from ReStore, at a secondary price which they say "still represents excellent value for these reuse items."
