Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

These dark nights mean we find ourselves walking in the dark earlier and earlier in the day.

In the past few days, I've noticed a few street lights in the Harringay Passage not working.

Obviously this is one part of our neighbourhood that needs good lighting, so I reported the first one I noticed using the Report a Problem page (scroll down to street lights for a link to take you to the right page). I was pleased to see the light was fixed the next day.

Just a quick reminder that if you see a light out, please let the council know. In these days of smart phones, a report can be made pretty quickly. Look out for the little tag attached that tells you the number of the lighting column.

p.s. Dayburners like this one

should also be reported.

Thanks for the link, Liz. Though I'm embarrassed to say I hadn't recently checked the links. So I've now corrected one of the phone numbers which had been changed. You'll always find up-to-date contact details for street lighting on the Council's website here. The details as of today (23 November 2011) are:

● The Report-a-Problem page given above by Liz.

● 020 8489 1335  - 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday
● 0500 236 458 - Outside office hours (freephone)
● Email: StreetLighting@haringey.gov.uk or frontline@haringey.gov.uk

The tags mentioned by Liz give a unique code which tells the Lighting team exactly which column you mean in which street or other location. Please report any street lights which don't have a tag.
