Yes I remember - shockingly bad, and so pleased they did away with this awful act of planning aggression vs. pedestrians. I was also heartened to see that many of the trees which were planted are now maturing.

I think this egregious example of 'extreme parking' happened immediately after the previous pavement parking bays there (yes also a hindrance) were abolished, and the regular occupants of said bays briefly tried to park inside the new double yellows so notionally weren't infringing them.

This particular example may have been then, but similar parking was frequent and regular.
