Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Looking for an electrician/ local shop to try to fix two bedside lamps - any recommendations?
(probably something really simple - just trying to repair instead of bad habit of chucking + buying new)

Neil’s Electrics in the indoor market at Wood Green have mended several things for me, they are great.

If a bedside, or any other kind of freestanding, lamp stops working, the first thing to check is the fuse in the mains plug. Easily done, and the cost of a fuse is a few pence. Also, of course, check the bulb is still working. If you take the lamps to be repaired, the cost (for the time taken to fix them) will probably be more than the cost of buying new ones. Why not give them away as "not working", as then someone who can fix them can take them; and you get two new lamps. To be honest, fixing lamps is really basic and simple.
