SAVE THE DATE - MEETING AND RALLY ON SATURDAY 29TH AT 2PM
The next Friends of Marcus Garvey Library meeting will take place on Saturday 29th in the Library or at the Bernie Grant Art Centre. (Thank You BGAC and Blooming Scent Café) both on Tottenham Green, just off the High Road in Seven Sisters.
The meeting will be followed by a rally in front of Marcus Garvey Library from 3pm on.
The day after, the library is due to close for at least six months while it is converted into a Customer Services site to replace Apex House, with a bit of library on the ground floor.
See posts here and here, still ongoing, with 2500+ views so a very live discussion.

Correction (top):
The "Quiet Study [area] 47 desks" (shown on Council documents) may not be crammed with PCs – it'll just be crammed. Full stop.
Crammed like sardines. Too bad if you really want quiet with so many people in such close proximity. Some students come to Tottenham's main library for space (and quiet) that they don't necessarily find at home. It's one thing for architects to label it for quiet study, but they also labelled the area immediately outside, as "Childrens Play Area [16.1 square metres]" and "Self Service 22.4 [square metres]".
