Problems with this site - Anti Turkish/Kurdish
What is with the racist and patronising gaze this site has on the Turkish and Kurdish community in Harirngay?
The undertones and implications that our communities are here as an inconvenience or mere service is abhorrent.

Es, I agree that from time to time people may make comments that are disrespectful of the Turkish or Kurdish community, but I’m not sure that it’s as extreme as your characterisation suggests. Nonetheless, it’s good to call out such issues when you spot them.
Unfortunately, there is a basis in fact for criminal activity perpetrated but a very limited number of Criminals from Turkey. I think that was so significant that it takes a while to ‘wash through’ and left a trail of rumours in its wake.
To the best of my knowledge, once that was dealt with, the Turkish and Kurdish communities got back to living their lives and working hard to make a living. Rumours persisted of, amongst other things, criminal-led protection rackets, but I was unable to find any evidence to support them and have said so on many occasions.
It’s helpful if we acknowledge a key event that has shaped the way things might be seen in Harringay, but essential that we put that behind us and resist casual negative characterisations that linger on from it

By whom? Like i said we are not here to merely serve or be gazed upon in patronising manners.

I noticed you've removed your critique of the "white middle classes". I did wonder who you meant and why you thought it necessary to lump them all together into a homogenous mass and assign negative traits to it.
It's worth reflecting on who the white middle classes actually are. You might notice that 'they' are actually incredibly diverse people from different countries, backgrounds, occupations and incomes. They are not all the same just as 'black' people or Turkish people are not all the same.
