Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Plumber to supply and fit combi boiler
We have a very old system in our house, water heater in the bathroom and boiler downstairs at the back of the house (dining room) both need to be taken out and replaced with a combi boiler. British Gas are quoting a lot of money.
Can anyone recommend an A+ reputable tradesman who has done the same work or similar for you.
We have a toddler in the home so are nervous about picking someone without recommendation as it's a big job.

Agreed re Rob. He's excellent. Did exactly that job for us (I'm sure he'll be cheaper than BG but it is a big piece of work all the same). He does always seem incredibly busy as a result of his popularity on HOL, so you might need to bear with him unless it's urgent. But definitely worth waiting if you can.

Hi Lelo
I recently scoured HOL for a suitably gas qualified engineer to fit a fire which requires a level of expertise not all gas safe engineers have. I only found one willing to take on the job and that was Lisa (07811444564) recommended by many on this site. I found her knowledgeable, very responsive and nothing seemed too much trouble - I assume she fits boilers and probably well worth ringing her for a quote.

I can recommend Nadeem. He has done a few big plumbing and gas jobs for me over the past few years which included installing underfloor heating system and replacing a very old boiler with a combi boiler.
He is very helpful, has good ideas and tries to save you money. He is also friendly, courteous and reliable. The standard of work is very good and his prices are reasonable. I can't recommend him highly enough and will be using him again.

Like Steve I highly recommend Lisa of Milo Heating (07811444564) both she and the firm are Gas Safe registered. We've been using her for over 12 years and during that time at different properties she's fitted a new boiler, fitted a reconditioned one to save us money, fixed our old heating system, fitted a new bathroom as well as lots of other minor repairs and maintenance. She knows her stuff and explains what she's doing and why (if you are interested). She's friendly, tidies up and her prices are very reasonable. She's also great with children and animals. We've never had any complaints from anyone we've recommended her too, quite the opposite.
