I still have not switched my GP since moving to N8. I also have two small children so I would like a female GP if possible that is also good with babies.
I have been to the large Queenswood Surgery on Park road for baby weighing...and the place seemed so busy and un organised I was a little put off. Does anyone go there and like it?
Can you tell me where you go and why you like it?
any all comments and advice welcome

I go to Dr Dina Dhorajiwala at The Vale Practice further down Park Road (number 50, I think). I've been going to her for as long as she's been working in Crouch End - close to 20 years now. She's seen my son grow up and has been brilliant with all of us, including me, and I have chronic illness so I've had to see her a lot - sometimes weekly for years at a time.
She knows some people might have problems with her surname, so she's known as Dr. Dina.
I can't recommend her highly enough, to be honest. The only thing is that you may have to wait a while to see her when you have an appointment, as she will generally give each patient as long as they need. I always think it's worth it, because I know she'll spend that long with me and my family, too. She's not easy to get an urgent appointment with, but all the doctors there are excellent, and she's not the only woman.
Phone number is: 020 8347 3330. Good luck!
We lived in Crouch End for a number of years up until 6 months ago and we were registered with Dr Elizabeth Young at Weston Park. It's only a small surgery and has a small catchment area, but if you're lucky enough to be within it (and if they're taking on patients) then it's great. It was rare that we had to wait more than a day or two for an appointment, and both the regular doctor and the locums (locii?) were great with our son. They regularly asked after him even if we weren't there with him. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful. It's one of the things we miss most about leaving Crouch End!
Hello,
I second Wendy Lee's recommendation of the Vale practice on Park Road. All doctors I've experienced there are very good plus it's got a very (family)friendly atmosphere. A big plus is, that I hardly ever had to wait.
I don't have children myself but saw a lot of families going in an out. They all seemed very content.. ; )
Good luck!

Dr Ellerby at Queenswood is lovely and a fantastic doctor as is Dr Dina Dhorajiwala at The Vale.
Yes, I changed to Queenswood and if you want a woman GP, there are several I would not hesitate to recommend. Yes it is a large GP practice, but the three women partners are excellent, one is my lead GP, complimented in the commens below, and the the established women Staff GPs are good too. The practice even has a few showbiz patients.
Seriously, the staff are decent people, and if you want some more info send me a connection request and I will advise you a bit more that I would wish to communicate privately.
