Last night, our silly cat Ziggy decided to jump from the first floor window ledge and we haven't seen him since. We don't let him out (at ground level) as since moving here we've had one cat run over and 2 killed by the fox.
I'm extremely worried about him. I've been up and down Seymour calling for him and not a peep.
He is very sweet natured, although timid with strangers. He is a long haired tabby and fairly small but has a big bushy tail.
Can you please keep a look out for him in your gardens and let me know if you see him?
My kids will be devasted if anything happens to him after all the upset with the others. My little boy was frantic looking for him this morning.
Pic attached.
Thanks

Thanks Anette. We're by the river bit, I've been up and down all hours shaking his food and calling him. Not a peep. And he's very vocal, so I'm really worried.
On the rare occasions he's got out before (only once out the front) he's stayed close and meowed a lot.
I heard what I think was a fox last night, fighting I think, it wasn't the mating call. It was horrific. Made my blood run cold.
Still no sign of him this morning.
I really can't cope with losing another one.
Just seen Ziggy (definatly him) looking into our back door window, we are on Hewitt towards the top end. Tried to entice him with cat food to get him back to you but he ran away. Will keep looking out for him. Please feel free to come over and call from our garden if you think it will help, have left food out so he may come back... Send me a personal message if you would like the address.
Another scent thing that might help - if you can find any of your unwashed clothes put them on the washing line to help him find his way! I have been in this position before - lost a cat for 2 weeks and he did come back, so worth trying everything even if sounds a bit odd!
Thanks. I just messaged you.
I also just went out into our back garden and shook some food and called him and I did hear a meow, so very hopeful it's him. Maybe he just can't quite find his way back.
I've just been down Hewitt calling him and shaking some treats.
I did see a tabby, but it wasn't him, he's much longer haired and his tail is very bushy.
I really hope it was him and he'll crop up at some point today, preferably before the kids finish school, they'll be distraught if he isn't home after the fox incidents.
Been in the back garden again calling too, but no meow this time.
He is here now eating dried food...
Very relieved to report that Ziggy is now home and oblivious to the worry he's caused. Thanks to HOL and @Sarah Lou for helping him get home safe.

phew - really good news, am very glad you've got him back. JBx
Thanks. He's flat out asleep on the chair next to me now, worn out from his adventures.
