A mural has been painted on the exterior of one of the buildings especially for the occasion
The Omega works once carried the name of Harringay worldwide on Pianos manufactured there (Including the piano that held the record as the world's biggest from 1935 to 2001). Today, as Harringay's Warehouse District, it's become a thriving hub of artists, musicians film makers, clothes designers and so on.
This weekend the community is throwing its doors open to the public with is first art exhibition. The show is spread out across half a dozen of the live-work spaces in the Omega works. As well as seeing some great art works, you can catch some live performances, have a drink and even have a bit of nosey around!
Works available for sale from £50 to, ahem, £10,000.
Recommended.

How long does this run for? I'll be in the area (visiting from Malmö, Sweden) on the weekend on Dec 15th. Oh, and if anyone wants to meet up for a bevvy, I'd be up for that too. It'd be nice to meet some of you lot.
Hi Mark, I'm afraid the exhibition only runs till Sunday (see details via link at the end of the post).
Oh well. I guess I'll have to settle for the pics and rave reviews, then. Still up for a bevvy on the 15th though... Maybe I'll make a separate post for that nearer the time. Thanks, Hugh.
Highly recommended - we saw the exhibition last night and it's wonderful.
Popped down there this afternoon and I strongly recommend that people put it on their 'to do' list this weekend. Some excellent contemporary art and a very friendly welcome.
My favourite works were by Samuel Miller and Lya Nagado but there's work to suit all tastes I think.
