Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

From the local wires:

Kevin Hull is a security Guard at Sainsburys on West Green Road. A month ago he was called into his managers office and told his shifts were being changed to late shifts only with immediate effect.

He objected and as he was popular with customers told some of them about it. He is now facing dismissal from his job as a Security Guard at a disiplinary hearing on Tuesday.

A picket of Sainsbury's on West Green Road, has been organised for Monday 20th April at 5 pm.

Please note this is the Sainsburys half way down West Green Road towards Turnpike Lane, and not the one by Seven Sisters. However this does illustrate how Sainsburys have flooded into local areas, paying low wages under the living wage. They have no regard to the needs of the local community or their workers. Their only regard is to maximising profit.

Clearly Sainsburys need a reminder that their profit is best maximised if they are part of a community rather than exploiting it.

Please come to the picket to help deliver this reminder.

Thanks

Phil R
