Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

There is a nice shot of Alexandra Palace taken from the BT Tower in BT's biggest photo in the world:

See here for the full photo. I couldn't find Harringay, guess we're in a dip in the terrain.

As time wasting on the inter-web goes this is excellent! I love stuff like this.

+1

And here is mine, taken from Chettle Court last summer (Crouch End in foreground):

Chettle Court from Alexandra Palace Terrace

Interesting that its in line with the Dome. In your photo Stephen my tripod would have been set up on the far left of the upper walkway. I used a 210mm lens on a proper 35mm film camera.

Mine was digital so I can tell you. 300mm (on zoom) f7.1 1/400 sec no tripod just resting (cropped picture). It must have taken somewhere near the middle as I have pictures with the Dome both to the left and right. (taken 20th June last year just after having bought it my first DSLR). Still learning. (Just joined the new Crouch End Photography Club to try and improve).

I'm finding this picture really confusing. How can the dome be there? Looks like it's in Finsbury Park!

Oh, have you actually seen it move? There are rumours it galavants around when no one's looking......  Maybe this one was snapped just before take off......

is this from ally pally too stephen?

Yes, judging by the angle, from the left end of the terrace. If you really bored and want more. View from the Terrace pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/47046427@N03/sets/72157629757949220/

Wow that website's scrolling is so counter-intuitive - feeling dizzy!

You're right - I found it infuriating! Great picture though.
