Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I see this scumbag is at it AGAIN. I have just spoken to two of his unfortunate tenants who have confirmed this flytipped crap is from this property. Why don’t the council DO anything? Why is this guy untouchable?

Its because without poof they cant do anything. We have a similar problem at the end of Roseberry gardens. If you witnessed it and report it to the council they will take action.

I’ve already reported it and I’ve been sending them proof for 5 years. They haven’t done anything.

Million dollar question.  It is depressing. No idea what it takes to change people's attitude. Would love to know of successful strategies elsewhere.
Community-owned mobile camera? Lend it out like a library service?

My issue with the app is that it's a very reactive way of dealing with the issue. The rubbish gets picked up but it reappears time and time again. And it's obviously the same fly tippers/usual suspects...
You're right of course but what I would have hoped for, with all that information, especially the geo-data, is some analysis that showed areas and addresses of repeat reporting. The data from app reports should be an absolute goldmine to use for work planning.

two thoughts

1 - when the landlord of the top floor flat in the house I'm in dumped a load of stuff from the top floor flat in the front garden, I took what I could and placed it outside their office front door. They got annoyed when they saw what I was doing but they didn't dump anything again.

2 - I've thought about doing a litter pick in the street I live in - Umfreville Road - but haven't gotten over the 'self conscious' brake yet. Any advice? Just do it? Anyone fancy joining in one weekend?

Here we go again
