Kirsty Housley of Pemberton Road who lost her baby niece to liver disease is running six marathons in six weeks in her memory. Kirsty is about to complete her sixth marathon in a bid to raise £6,000 for the Childrens Liver Disease Foundation.

Kirsty chose to run six to reflect the age baby Ellen would have been if she had survived her condition.

So far Kirsty, a freelance theatre director, has completed the Worcester, London, Manchester, North Dorset, and Essex and Halstead marathons. She will finish her six-week efforts at the Richmond Park marathon this weekend.

Kirsty is keen to raise awareness of liver disease a real issue in young children as well as for adults.

To date, Kirsty has raised £2,700. If you'd like to help her reach her target, click
