Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I know there have been previous discussion on the topic of parking tickets and targets (which I cannot seem to find and link to), but this was interesting.

The claim is that the "expected hourly and annual ticketing rates" in contracts between the council and third party providers are used purely  to set staffing levels. But extrapolating from this, and some of the commentary in the article, it is not hard to see how a 'target' however soft or hard can be drawn... Enjoy!

According to one Ealing traffic warden: “Day-to-day, less and less people are parking illegally because they're learning from their mistakes”.

There’s certainly something seriously wrong with this system if the problem comes when it succeeds!

Parking issues should be dealt with centrally from city hall and through employing more PCSOs who could enforce. Get rid of parking attendants!
