Parents invited to volunteer for vacant School crossing Patrols

The work would be for an hour in the morning and afternoon during school term but could be shared by a group of parents rather than one parent carrying out the role.

The council can provide school crossing patrol uniforms, undertake the CRB check for volunteers and arrange for insurance cover. Full training would be given for volunteers.

Schools are asked to submit the names of any interested parents to Haringey's transport department.

None of the schools with a vacancy are in the Harringay area but one or two are close by if anyone beyond Harringay's elastic borders is interested in getting involved:

• North Hill/Storey Road - Highgate Primary
• North Hill/Castle Park - Highgate Primary
• Tottenham Lane/Rokesly Avenue - Rokesly infants
• Upper Tollington Park/Florence Road - Stroud Green primary
• Ferme Park Road/Weston Park - Hornsey school for girls
• Hornsey High Street/Rectory Gardens - St Mary junior
