Open auditions for budding young actors

NikNax Theatre is looking for talented young performers aged 7-16 to take part in a week long training programme, culminating in a final showcase performance of Oliver! for friends, family and industry professionals.

The training programme is being run by a professional theatre company, which is hoping to raise funds through the training programme for further community projects. There will also be visits from current West End performers to work with the participants and answer their questions.

Open auditions for the project will be held at Central Foundation Boys' School on Thursday 21 July from 1pm onwards, and the training programme itself will run from 22-26 August. The cost of the week-long programme is £150 (£100 for each subsequent child), but there are a limited number of scholarships available for gifted performers who would otherwise not be able to take part in the project.

The theatre is also looking for young people aged 17+ who are interested in choreography, directing, music, teaching or technical aspects of theatre to take part in free internship programmes running alongside the project.
