Oops - Looks like Palmers Green Got our Bookies

Last year when I started the campaign against Cyprus based betting operator Tipco opening their first UK branch in Harringay, I didn't for a moment imagine that we'd all succeed. 

I was delighted that KFH understood how we all felt and chose not to lease to Tipco and I do sometimes walk past the building opposite The Salisbury and thank my lucky stars.

I hadn't really thought about there being a knock on effect until I saw this tweet tonight. It looks like, frustrated in their attempts to open in Harringay, Tipco have open up in poor Palmers Green.

As one closes down another opens. Tipico open betting shop on Green Lanes in Palmers Green. We now have nine or 10 in a 2 mile stretch #N13
