Why do I get dozens of these when I try to insert emoticons ? How do I stop it ? Is it dangerous ? What is " third party hosting " ?

I have never ( to my knowledge ) used Photobucket.

I keep getting this, especially when I go back to read older posts and the image seems to have inserted itself into the text.

My guess: this forum hosts emojis using Photobucket, who will now require payment for this to work again....

Yes, Photobucket want us to pay to post our photos anywhere else. We first encountered it on our bike forum a few weeks back. Hundreds of photos posted by different people have suddenly disappeared. They have a lot of people by "the short and curlies" where they've stored large amounts of photos on the site. Most of us are now moving over to another hosting site which is going to be a very tedious task given the large amount of pics involved.
