If it was discussed at the GLSG then the three main residents' groups will have been consulted. In the normal course of events, since the GLSG is a council committee, I'd refer you to the published minutes. However, none have been posted since last Spring. After being reminded by Ant Elder last year of their duty to publish the minutes, the council published two sets of minutes, in January and April. Nothing further has been posted. (I have requested that the public record is updated.)
As far as Ali Ozbek is concerned, whilst this move may reflect the wishes of the Harringay Traders, I don't think it has anything to do with a prospective councillor who is not part of the GLSG and is not sponsored (or perhaps even supported) by the Harringay Traders Association.
I continue to pester them regularly about the GLSG minutes and agenda's. Had a reply just yesterday from Zena Brabazon, who is the chair now, saying "I need to get the officers to post the agendas and recent minutes.". What i've been asking for is:
1) the GLSG meeting agenda publicly accessible before the meeting
2) a meeting summary made public immediately after the meeting
3) the meeting minutes publicly accessible after the meeting
4) the current membership list
5) more info about the "part 2 discussion on governance and the future" and if this is something the wider community could participate in somehow
6) if there are continuing problems things published on the council website then permission for the GLSG members to distribute these themselves to they people the represent
They haven't said no to any of those but nothing seems to be happening either despite months of pestering.
