Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I wrote a post a few days ago about a cute black & white kitten that seemed without a home; well the next morning it's presumed Mother turned up too!

A really lovely cat who seems to be used to and enjoy human contact.

Here are the beauties:

We have been feeding them and made them comfortable with box & blanket, but they are currently living outside so they do not get too 'at home'.

I can't say we're not tempted to keep them, but we had decided last Christmas not to get a cat for a good few years because of our circumstances: if it was just one I think we could be persuaded!

Anyhow, I have put several posters up in the area (near Turnpike Lane) and contacted the local cat sanctuary & vet. It seems there are lots of 'unclaimed' cats around and therefore nothing will happen fast.

If anyone recognises the cats or would like to take them on please let me know,

Many Thanks

Amanda

I think I know the patchy marmalade one.  Are you near Warham Road?

No, off Turnpike Lane: Vernon Road. That would be a fair stretch, but who knows?

This cat seems quite young itself. 'She' is a sleek, fairly small cat.

hiya

have they been chipped? i dont mind taking them to the vet to see if they are. if they are not i could take them to celia hammond animal trust for you?

i am worrying about them being outside now it is getting colder. I wonder if the mum has more kittens somewhere....

let me know if i can help.

Sally

I would definitely take the mum to a vet to be scanned for a chip or take her to Wood Green Animal Shelter on Lordship Lane, they have a scanner. Have you asked Wood Green if they are able to take them in?

They are both lovely. If I didn't already have a cat...that black and white kitten is the spit of my kitten.

Thanks for your replies. I have the same concerns and have called the cat's protection league and the local vet.

I will be taking them to the vet for a check in the next day or so. I will let you know Sally if they need to go to Celia Hammond.

Would love to keep them, but can't!

No problem just give me a shout if you need some help with anything. I have an unhelpfully soft spot for stray cats. I would have them if I didn't already have 2.

You are being impressively strong with yourself to not have let them in an given them a spot on your sofa! Its good that you haven't given in to them if you know you can't take cats on at the moment!

Sally

I could be interested in taking them on but not if they belong to anyone else. Have asked for a 'connection' to send you a personal message.

Jenny

so what happened to the wee babes

i was wondering too....!

With a heavy heart I sent them off to  a cat re-homing scheme this evening.

They really are lovely cats and I have no doubt they will resettle quickly in a loving home.

The little kitten grew quite a bit in the two and a half weeks she was here.

I had them checked and de-fleaed at the vet's ten days ago: they were not chipped.

Thanks for your interest in the 2 cuties.
