Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The North London Hospice is recruiting more "Compassionate Neighbours" to play vital roles by offering their time to people with life-limiting illness who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation. Regular visits, companionship or just a listening ear can really make a difference.

The hospice, which has premises in North Finchley and Winchmore Hill, has been operating a Compassionate Neighbours scheme since 2018 and to date has trained 170 volunteers and made nearly 150 introduction. It was recently awarded more funding by the National Lottery Community Fund to allow it to train more volunteers.

Training courses are held on Zoom and the next dates are 27, 28 January, 3 and 4 February.

For more information email  or phone Judy Guy on 07956 496673.

If you or someone you know is in need of a Compassionate Neighbour, visit northlondonhospice.org/work-for-us/compassionate-neighbours/ and follow the link to the application form.
