Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
North Harringay primary school - recommendations/advice
I would like to know if anyone has their kid in reception at north Harringay and if you would recommend it.
My son will be going to school in September and I'm stressing a bit about making the wrong decision about which school he will go to (providing we can get in any of the ones on our list!)
NH looks good on paper but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell a lie, just looked and it was 1.3 so you could get a place, unless that was some sibling based anomaly!

He was offered a headship further over in tottenham (you've got to move up sometime).
He had accepted this job before Helen handed in her notice

Just a parent, my youngest leaves this coming September. So we've been involved with the school for 9 years or so.
My wife is on the PSA and i've been helping out with the cycling (bikability) and cycling team for the past 5.
oh! and Mr Maree (the irripressable deputy head) left at the end of the last summer term. His new school are lucky to get him. I'll miss him. seeing him in the playground with a boogy box getting the kids to do aerobics at 8.30 in the morning (summer terms) was quite something! i think the kids thought and alien had landed the first time he did it. He even managed to get some of the parents joining in.

Where abouts in Haringey are you? I would recommend anyone to take a look at Tiverton Primary school. The Head will be happy to show you around. It is a really positive and rich learning environment. My daughters went there and did very well both in grades and emotional development. The enrichment activities there are superb.
