Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The No right hand turn at Manor House displaces a lot of traffic down Green Lanes, Harringay, vehicles only get an opportunity to turn right at the junction of St Ann's and then West Green Rd, especially a problem during peak times congesting traffic further. What is its purpose?

Turn right at Lordship Park.

Isn't that a rat run.

B105. Pretty wide - much wider than Wightman.

Humped like Wightman too, and width restrictions.

The first right after Clissold Park, sneaky....

Has it just been introduced?

It's been there forever hasn't it? If you want to turn right onto Seven Sisters from Green Lanes you need to go over the intersection and then the first right into Woodberry Grove which causes south bound congestion, sometimes backing up through the intersection because of the bus stop.

That's a good point. Perhaps something to pin on the interactive map! There were consultations a few months ago to re-shape the Manor House junction but I don't remember a right-hand turn (for those traveling northbound on Green lanes) being a proposal.

Having never needed to turn right there, I hadn't realised. It must certainly have some effect.

No it's OK, that traffic can turn right at Hermitage if it doesn't want to do that. Oh wait... Umm... it can turn right into the gardens. Oh hang on sorry. It can turn right into St Ann's Rd. Yes, that's it.

So isn't this actually a classic case of traffic being forced into rat-running? You can't do a right at the junction of 2 major A roads so instead you have to rat run through the residential road that is Woodberry Down.

I think you mean Woodberry Grove, but yes it's silly to force people down residential streets instead of major roads.
