This has probably been asked before but is there any local NHS dentists around the Crouch End/Muswell Hill area that are taking new people? Or even taking people onto a waiting list? Any feedback much appreciated.

Hi Mr Pye - based on a HOL recommendation I now go to Dr Kapadia at the Dental Care Centre, 200 Fortis Green Road (0208 444 3884). I signed up a few months ago, so back then he was still accepting NHS patients. I've only seen him once, and it was just a routine checkup, but he was very nice and others on HOL said that he is very reassuring for more complex things. So I'd recommend him.

I don't know if he has vacancies, but Derick Bass in Archway Road north of Highgate Station, is really good - he's good with nervous patients, tries his hardest to conserve even the most dilapidated teeth, and is an all-round good guy. I would recommend him highly, and we've been going to him for 25 years or so.
