Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We went to have breakfast here today - primarily prompted by the fact that its been open a couple of weeks but there's never anyone in there & I felt sorry for them!

They have a full Turkish grilled meat menu (although they do a veg kebab as well) but they also do breakfasts, omelettes, jacket potatoes etc. It looks a bit dingy inside because they have tinted glass, but its actually nice inside. It does have the slightly odd cave theme that seems unaccountably popular with Turkish cafés, but its actually quite nice and light at the front, and cosier at the back.

The food was good.  I had the menemen & boyfriend had a spinach omelette.  Both were really tasty.  Lots if fresh veg, good salad.  Coffee & fresh juice was also good.  Looks like they do a good range of English breakfasts to.  Service was also good - which is kind of why I felt compelled to post on here - we were the only people in there.  I think people might assume its just another kebab place and be put off by the tinted glass.  Venture in - definitely worth a try - its between Kimberly & Chesterfield Gardens, opposite Devren

I look forward to eating menemen there soon, one of my favourite Turkish lunches   Magara is the name of a village near Selifke; the Keklik dance comes from there and, in the 60s, I attended an international children's music festival for the BBC   it was brilliant!

What happened to this place? It closed up and seems abandoned after less than a month, the second such 'make over' of this premises that has gone belly up within weeks.
