New Mobile App Aims to Cut Unnecessary A&E Arrivals in Haringey

A mobile app has been created to cut A&E arrivals and direct NHS patients to the correct services.

People in Haringey, Enfield and Barnet can download the free software, which helps them decide which NHS service they need and where to go.

The Choose Well North London app is free to download on Apple and Android devices through Apple Store and Google Play  It is part of a wider campaign by the three Clinical Commissioning Groups aimed at relieving pressure on hospital A&E departments and highlighting the range of local NHS services that can be accessed by residents.  

NHS directors hope the technology, which is available in English, Turkish, Polish and Somali, will cut the number of unnecessary arrivals at A&E departments across the three boroughs.
