Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
New Italian Cafe up the Turnpike Lane end of GL near Falkland Rd
I got off the bus at the Falkland Road stop a few weeks ago and there it was- Durazzos - and as it was late and I was knackered aka not about to cook I dived in - got a takeaway Pizza Marguerita (I like my pizzas no frills and fripperies) and I had a lovely tv dinner. The pizza dough was thin and crispy, just how I like it and there was plenty of mozarella and tomato - in fact it was yummy. So I've had it again since - still yummy.
Then the other day me and a friend went in, late eve and he had a pizza with all the trimmings and I had guess what? Same old same old. He ate every morsel, we swopped a slice and his pizza was yum too! Next time I have resolved to be adventurous and try the pasta. I am a veggie so thought I might go for Spaghetti Napoletana or something... I'll let you know...
The other thing to point out is that the staff are lovely, the young women serving are as helpful as can be and friendly and they are very eager for you to enjoy your food and have a good experience - which I have three times now - so go in there and tip genrously - they deserve it.
I'm so thrilled to have a nice Italian eatery near where I live - what with that and the fabulous Jam in the Jar music bar and the amazingly wonderful coffee etc in Blend - this end of GL has gone up about a hundedred notches in the fab-food-and-fun-area-to-live category.

Just seen pizz place turnpike lane end of west green road too. Looks really good and when I popped in for take away menu they where super friendly (plus not hipstery either)

Totally agree with the review really friendly staff and good service. It is great for kids we take our two and if you go before 5 you get a pizza and a drink for 5.99. The pizza's are big so mine share one!
