The latest issue of London's food mag 'The Jellied Eel' reports on Noel Park’s community market as well as the Crop Drop food bag scheme starting in Haringey.

They report for the market;

You’ll find a host of street food traders, traditional farmers’ market stalls and artisan goods. Local residents are also selling food and hand-made items. Look out for Challah (Jewish braided bread) from the Celtic Bakers and 100 per cent pure raw local honey from Curtis the Honey Man. And if you can sing or play, get practising for Buskers’ Corner. That’s the spirit!

A new not-for-profit veg-box scheme, Crop Drop, based in Haringey, has just launched, with the help of the Growing Communities Start-up Programme. The scheme was conceived by Wood Green resident Rachel Dring, who wanted to see more local, organic and affordable food in the area. Crop Drop prioritises organic-certified farms and produce grown as close to home as possible. Produce comes in a bag, not a box, to make it easier to get your veggies home.

There are drop points in Tottenham, Wood Green, Crouch End, Finsbury Park and of course Harringay. Cafe Blend collection times have just been extended as Blend now opens til 11pm so you can collect Thurs 3-11pm or Fri 8am-11pm.
