Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

My girlfriend and i are looking at a flat at the top of Roseberry Gardens just off green lanes. We love green lanes and all its lively hustle and bustle, however we have not lived in the area or know anyone who dose. So we only have a quite visceral opinion on things.  We would love to get some information form people who live in the area especially Roseberry gardens.

We are both 29 currently living in Arnos Grove.

Thanks

Ben

Hello Ben, my fiancé and I recently made the same move and bought a place on green lanes in august this year, having previously rented in many other areas, crouch end, archway, and even marylebone... Green Lanes is a fantastic place to live, particularly with such great transport links into central.

its by no means perfect, but has plenty to offer now with its local shops, bars and restaurants and the potential for so much more in the future.

Hi Alexander,

Thank you very much for responding. Thats great to hear, we seemed to get a really good feeling every time we come to green lanes, it feels like a real place rather than "a once was". So thats our feeling, but i just wanted to scratch the surface a bit more.  Our only worry is that we are moving to the green lanes end of Roseberry gardens, but i dont see why it should matter.

Ben

I love this area.  We moved here 3 years ago from swanky south west london.  What we have come to love the most, are the people.  Neighbours who genuinely care and happy to socialise.  I can't recommend this area enough.  For us it was a massive gamble that paid off.

Hi Shelene,

Thanks for your comments that's really interesting to hear epically as you came from a such a different part of London. Really good to hear about the people as this is really important to us.

Thanks

Ben
I can't say enough about the place. We've lived here for 7 years and during that time got to know a lot of residents and shop owners. Although it's not "villagey" like Crouch End the community spirit here is immense. Not to mention the online community... If you are planning to have kids here too it just gets better, and you will probably be glad you bought at the Green lanes end so you are in the catchment for South Harringay!

Good luck with your house search.
Thanks Burgoyne. So nice to hear.
Thanks for everyone who has responded to our post so far its been really reassuring!

You will also be round the corner from of the fantastic Garden Residents Association which organises community events as well as recently winning Gold and Over All winner at the recent London in Bloom awards.

Ooohhh
I used to live there, maybe it's my old flat. Loved it right behind antipelliar for 12 years, and they were very good when I. asked them to unlock their doors quietly in the morning
Only moved as I had adopted to young cats who needed a garden, so moved to road on the ladder, just off south Haringay school which all my neighbours rave about
. I'm now an old young female and I love it
