Unfortunately park maintenance is seen as an easy target to cut which shows the council's priorities lie elsewhere. Is there another explanation for the secondary Finsbury Park lake that appears at the southern side whenever there's significant rain. By contrast, our council loves car parking spaces, especially those it can tax and fine as this is now a significant source of revenue.
By all means lets have fewer car parks and increase the size and number of parks. Sadly it won't happen: the council is currently engaged in a partial privatisation of Finsbury Park.
