Have just called them and: "it was not safe for them to come out and collect on Friday" Huh?? Might not be safe for me to pay my council tax in full then... They may come out today, if the poor little lambs and delicate flowers that seems to work for Accord feels it's safe enough.
In the meantime, the rest of us have to soldier on, safe or not safe. Unbelieveable.
..and the last thing I want to do is pay full whack for an inferior service so there you go. I'm not exactly made of money either. Tit for tat I reckon.
The rest of us have to carry on regardless, why can't they? This is over-pandering to a bunch of lazy gits if you ask me.
I live on Pemberton Road and we still haven't had our recycling collected today. I've just called Haringey Enterprise on 020 8885 7700 and they have logged it as a missed collection and have rebooked to come and collect it tomorrow instead. To be fair, they were pretty efficient at rectifying the problem for me. In fact the recycling lorries were out on Friday, but due to the icy conditions they weren't able to complete their rounds in time and came back to finish many of the roads off today instead. Unfortunately this didn't include our road, so if you've still not had your rubbish collected I suggest you call the number above and get them to come out again. Hope this helps.

Hi, we reported problems yesterday too with missed collections on Lothair Road North and have been given a swift, helpful email response that the problems have been logged and that they will try to collect ASAP. Is still v icy on our street so I think its fair enough for them to prioritise both collectors' and publics welfare.
Ok just called re Seymour. Should be collected Tues - Wed at latest. Ref number is 28961209. Wish I'd called on Friday, just assumed that they'd be back if they hadn't collected as usual...
This is really the problem. I live in Sandford Ave, & last week it was almost impossible to leave the house on foot or car when all the ice was about. I am sure today's snow will cause the same probs. My wife fell over with our 4wk old daughter because no gritting had been done & she was unable to get out & buy nappies today. That's why our ridiculously high council tax is a waste of money. I believe Lynne Fatherstone is making noises about rectifying this so good to contact her.
