Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Walked past Metrobet today at 3:35 pm, and noticed that not only was their door wide open (again), which is against their licening terms, but there was also a man standing in the doorway, feet inside the shop, smoking. This violates the smoking ban.

 

Who do I report them to? If we keep reposting them something's bound to happen, surely? Or am I being too optimistic? Could we start a campaign where we report every single little violation, and maybe then we can get shot of a few of them? Worth a try? Who's in?

Thanks Jono, will do. I remember when betting shop no 100 or 101 opened, there was an issue about keeping their doors shut. This so under 18's could not see in or similar. I am pretty sure that's part of the licensing conditions. Can anyone else remember?

Anette. I seem to remember the law going the other way. This is how i remember it : Before the legislation changed betting shops were NOT allowed to show the interior but are now allowed to. maybe you got it mixed up that way ? I think your idea of harassing the betting shops is a good idea and makes me laugh (in a good way).

@ James, bugger, that's annoying! Are you sure? I seem to remember Glyn being involved in looking into open doors etc. It might well have been Agora, but I have a faint memory of if applying to all betting establishments. Would be great if someone remembers so we can properly harass them!

I think that stipulation was for Agora.
