Meet your Labour candidates – Monday 2nd May (15:00-16:30)

Hi everyone,

In just a few days, you will choose your representatives on Haringey Council. Many of you will spend the next few days reflecting on this important decision.

With my fellow Labour candidates, Zena Brabazon and Gina Adamou, over the past few months I have had the pleasure of engaging in so many conversations with residents on our shared aspirations for Harringay. We have received so much constructive feedback on our progressive, green manifesto, which is available online here: https://www.haringeylabour.org.uk/manifesto-2022-26/

Although we have spoken to residents in every street in the ward, we are conscious that there are still some residents we have been unable to meet, possibly because we knocked on their door while they were not home. If any residents wish to meet with us before they make their decision, we will be standing at the corner of Green Lanes and the Salisbury Hotel on Monday 2^nd May from 15:00-16:30.

As a ‘new face’ in this election, I’d also like to seize this opportunity to introduce myself to those Harringay Online members I have yet to meet in person. I made Harringay my home a few years ago, starting out on Duckett Road, before moving to my current residence on Green Lanes.  

Before settling in Harringay, I spent a few years working internationally, finding solutions to tough global policy challenges as a diplomat within the European Union institutions and a United Nations agency. My academic background is in the effective design and evaluation of public policy interventions – expertise I hope to bring to Haringey Council to ensure residents benefit from public services of the highest quality. When I’m not canvassing, you will find me volunteering in conservation projects in our Borough’s many parks and green spaces, most recently in Chestnuts Park, Stationers Park and Tunnel Gardens.
