Jumble Organisers, sisters Adina (left) and April (right) with their friend cakemaker in chief, Ruth
Today's 'Jumble is Massive' organised by Ladder living sisters April and Adina was part of a nationwide family effort to raise money for their cousin. 14 year old Harry has osteosarcoma and the funds are needed for a prosthetic limb that will enable him to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
There was a great atmosphere when I arrived - not the sort of electricity you'd normally associate with a jumble sale - and April told me that even thought they still had two hours to run they's almost met the soft target they'd set for the day.
I hope the events elsewhere in the UK have gone as well and that young Harry gets his limb.
The Jumble is Massive sale filled the back room of the Salisbury with colour and buzz
Shiver me timbers! Finally Harringay can rival its Crouch End neighbour in the local pirate stakes.

Thanks for posting the photos, Hugh. It was, indeed, a great event. I turned up just after it opened and it was already buzzing. Bought a load of books at very good price, took edible treats home for the family. People were all dressed up and very happy. We should have more of these!
It looks like a good time was had by all. If you ever have another sale sign me in. To me that is the fun way of giving to a good cause and at the same time recycling goods. Well done.
