Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just to say thank you to the BTCV for putting on some lovely activities for half term in Harringay and nearby.

We enjoyed a Spring nature hunt and craft activities at Railway Fields on a grey Monday afternoon with Catherine and the team, coming home laden with home made calendars and fridge magnets.

Later in the week, we soaked up a bit of early Spring sunshine in Downhills Park on the family photography workshop with Michael, who happily led us enthusiastic amateurs on a nature hunt and picture taking session yesterday afternoon, discovering a cork tree, a palm tree and taking pictures of the least camera shy squirrels in the world. We lingered a while at the Downhills Pond, being restored by Froglife, the BTCV and Friends of Downhills Park. They would welcome any help you'd like to offer.

Finally, we headed past palm trees and plane trees, snapping as we went, to mark our nature quizzes...only 14/20, must try harder

All BTCV activities are free and open to all, and right on your doorstep. The next adult workshop is on 5th March (Michael did say you could bring photography keen kids too) to coincide with the Natural England Exhibition.
