In the past few days, my impression is of a significant increase in rubbish dumped in streets on either side of High Road, Tottenham near Bruce Grove Station. Including stuff that's collected for free, such as mattresses and fridges.
Also, walking home along High Road Tottenham last night from El Botellon in Seven Sisters (not the traditional Spanish Botellón) there seemed to be a higher than usual level of dumping and litter. Unwelcome for people investing money and hard work to establish new businesses there.

General impression? Very positive! El Botellon staff were very welcoming and I enjoyed the food. Though to be honest I'm not the right person to ask, as I'm completely unused to this style of tapas as meze. (I've only ever eaten Tapas in southern Spain and that was many decades ago, as bar snacks between comparing sherries.)
Maybe because it's new and a Friday night, the place was packed out and a bit noisy. They said they plan to have live guitar music. That will need a bit more hush to enjoy properly!
It is change over time for many rentals with new students moving in and I think some landlords just cant be bothered to call the council to pick up what they chuck out.
But much of what John's pic showed in the passage was the detrius of consumerism- plastic bags full of boxes which could be recycled. There is a culture of buy it, chuck it, someone else will pick it up.
How to change the culture rather than just constantly clean up after these rubbish people who don't give a damn about where they live or other people?
You've taken things out of context John, but then you know that. The title of your post is what's wrong - but you know that too
JohnD, yes quite possibly the same Matt. That is, the one who approximately 10 years ago was one of a small group of people who helped to transform the Open Space into what is now Fairland Park.
Nicholas, referring to your post #8 on Page 2, after posting the picture, I was about to report the dumping when I saw that you had done it minutes before. I congratulated you on doing so.
