Lots of events for Carers Week in Haringey 9-15 June 2014

A celebration of the contribution made by Haringey carers.

Every day at least 6,000 people start caring. To celebrate these unsung heroes National Carers Week takes place every year to recognise and celebrate the 6.5 million people throughout the UK currently caring - unpaid - for a family member or friend who is ill, frail or has a disability.

This year’s theme for Carers Week is Carers Quest the purpose of of which is to:

• Reach out to carers who are missing out on advice and information, support and services
• Encourage individuals and organisations to come together to improve how the UK’s 6.5 million carers are supported
• Help individuals and organisations to come together to improve how the UK’s 6.5 million carers are supported
• Support individuals and organisations to improve how they look after carers
• Celebrate the contribution made by Carers and Young Carers in Haringey
