Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Lost cat Warham/Seymour: The cat comes back. Darwin has returned
I'm looking after Darwin for Jo at the moment and we haven't seen him for about 24 hours. We live in Warham Road near the Passage and his usual territory is the back gardens nearest to us between Warham and Seymour near the Harringay Passage.
It is highly unusual for him to be gone so long and not to come when called as he's usually within earshot of his feeding bowl. He's quite a shy cat and very gentle so he could have squeezed in somewhere after getting a bit scared and got stuck. He doesn't have a big meow so you may not hear him if he is trying to get out of somewhere.
He's a big grey and white cat, wearing a collar with a bell and a little toggle thing that has my phone number inside it. He may have got in somewhere and got stuck so please could you check sheds or anywhere that a cat might squeeze into. He's missed a couple of feeds so is likely to be quite hungry. After a possible sighting on Wightman near Effingham, I've done a walk along WR and looked around near the burnt out garage, then back down the Passage but still no sign. If he is up there, he's got himself very lost so if you are on Wightman or at the Wightman end of a ladder road please keep your eyes peeled for him. Thank you

thanks - I've done a load of A4 posters to stick on lamp posts, hopefully someone has seen him. He's got a collar with ID on it, but if he's lost it, no-one would now who to contact.

I saw him going into front gardens of 70-72 Seymour Road on Saturday at 9 in the evening. He seemed to be very happy and bell ringing. I will keep an eye out for him. I have no doubt that it was him with the face and the way he holds his head.

Thanks hob. We've just been and had a look around and no sign of him this morning in Seymour or Hewitt but it's very encouraging that you've seen him. I'll have a little scout around tonight at about 9 when you saw him. Hope nobody is feeding him or encouraging him into their house. He is such a sweetie that someone might be tempted.

Good luck. I think he walked up from the passage and was checking the bins around the place as cats do.

In Darwin's case I'll make an exception and keep a lookout along WR, though I fear this is really a case for Dawkins.

UPDATE: At 2am (!) a little voice and a loud bell woke me from my slumbers and there was Darwin calling up the stairs for his very overdue (6 days) tea, which he wolfed and then settled down to sleep between me and hubby as though he'd just been for a stroll around the garden. Needless to say, he was a very welcome sight.
