Pumpkin is a male black cat, no collar. He has been missing since 14th February from Middle Lane/Elmfield Avenue N8 area.
Unfortunately he has not been neutered and not been microchipped yet. It's really important to get cats microchipped and neutered. A cat can be neutered from 4 months old.
Please lookout for him. His owner has put details below

I don't want to register with the animalsearch website but perhaps Justine could send a message to the owner. I think this is the male tom that has been causing havoc and misery to other cats (including at least £500 worth of injury to my own cats) and their households in the surrounding area for years. If it is the same animal then it is has now been neutered and in the hands of Marilyn of Animal Aid. Unfortunately I have no idea how to contact her but perhaps you do.

Thanks a lot, will message the potential owner on Animal Search and also Animal Aid www.animalaidandadvice.org
You did the right thing by catching the cat and getting him neutered. If only everyone would get their pets neutered and microchipped. If an unneutered cat is around, it's vital to get the cat neutered and helped, for the sake of the cat and everyone else's cats, as well as to prevent more homeless kittens.
Marilyn of Animal Aid and Advice has confirmed that the black cat taken in and neutered was not Pumpkin.
So Pumpkin is still missing.
Update - apparently Pumpkin may have been found, but so far, owner has not responded to my message notifying them on Animal Search.
If anyone happens to live near Elmfield Avenue/Middle Lane N8 and sees a lost black cat flyer with tel number, please message me the details.
Pumpkin belongs to my friend Susanne and he has most definitely been neutered - it was a long and expensive story as gender is a complicated issue, apparently even for cats, and the decision to call him a 'he' was one that had to be made. He is a much-loved family pet and I really hope the rumour that he has been found is true, because I know the kids will be besides themselves, not to mention Susanne, that he has gone missing.
Just spoke to Susanne and he is still missing, so please keep your eyes peeled for him for them.
Update - I've now got the flyer details and have got the owner Sue's tel number so will pass it on to the people who have the found cat so that they can contact Sue. Hopefully he's Pumpkin, they've seen the photos and think he's the same cat, but I don't know, maybe he's not.
Pumpkin is described by his owner on the Animal Search listing as not neutered and not microchipped.
Hi, I am Suzanne, Pumpkins owner. Thank you Jessica for introducing me to Haringey online, and thank you everyone for being so concerned about Pumpkin. The reason I put down that Pumpkin was un-neutered is because when he went for the op, the vet discovered that he was in fact born without testicles. It is unusual, but happens! Perhaps with hindsight I should have said the opposite, but he does still have the appearance and nature of a tom cat. I have had a message from someone today, who thinks they may have Pumpkin. I will keep you posted. Many thanks again for your concern. Suzanne
Suzanne, I know we've been messaging, but I hope you don't mind me updating people.
It looks like Pumpkin will be returning home this weekend as it appears that the rescued cat is Pumpkin - as a photo of him has been checked by Suzanne, although I expect she won't be sure until she sees him.
Previously, Suzanne had been wrongly advised by her vet that Pumpkin had no testicles and was told that neutering wasn't necessary - so Suzanne had tried to do the right thing in respect of neutering and that wasn't her fault! Anyway it now turns out that Pumpkin had undescended testicles and did need to be neutered.
The good news for neighbours with cats is that Pumpkin has now been neutered by the rescue place so hopefully there will be no more fights and injured cats when he returns safely home as any aggressive behaviour patterns should change and he should also roam less.
I'm sure people do this anyway, but I always advise cat owners out there to lock the catflap at night and keep cats inside during the night - as that reduces cats getting lost, straying or injured. Cats get used to the routine of staying in at night and a snugglesafe heat pad helps to keep them cosy.
Microchipping is also vital - the reality is that if a cat is lost and not microchipped, the cat is at risk of being put down - luckily Pumpkin was not taken to the RSPCA, as he might have been put down there. Microchipped pets are also much more likely to be reunited with their owners.
In addition to microchipping, a personalised collar with phone number printed on it is quite handy, as neighbours can easily see a number to call if they are concerned about a cat. www.kittycollars.co.uk/
I've heard from Suzanne that Pumpkin is now home safe and sound. He's been neutered and is going to be microchipped. He's been tested for FIV and the test was negative so he's completely healthy.
Hopefully there will be no further problems with fighting or straying, but let me know if there is any more fighting or worries - as I can let Suzanne know.
Also thanks to neighbours and Animal Aid and Advice for trapping him and getting him neutered.
